Welcome to my blog, alexloth.com – a space where I share stories of tech and travel. I’ve always had a love for exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures, and over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to do just that. Originally I created this website in 2007 as a travel blog (which I update again and then) to give friends and family some impressions about life in Bangalore (my first blog post). As my career in data and AI began to take off, it became a platform for me to share my experiences in that domain too.
With over 14 years of experience in the tech industry, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some exciting projects and speak at a few conferences. Data visualization has always been a passion of mine since arriving at CERN to write my master’s thesis, and it’s only grown with the advent of self-service analytics software. Having worked for Tableau and Microsoft in various sales roles, I’ve gained valuable insights into the industry and am excited to share my knowledge with you.
Currently, I’m based in the vibrant city of Frankfurt, and work remotely for a team that is based in Seattle, after spending time living in Switzerland, India, and China. Through my blog, I hope to inspire others to travel and explore the world while also sharing my insights into the ever-evolving world of data and AI. Thank you for joining me on this journey!
