500 Free Codes for Trackless Links: Tester Program Launch

I just launched a small tester program for Trackless Links, the on-device Safari extension that strips tracking parameters like utm_source, fbclid, gclid and mc_eid from URLs before the destination site ever sees them.

500 free promo codes are up for grabs. Claim one, use the app for a week or two, and report whatever you find on GitHub.

Why a tester program

I built Trackless Links to scratch my own privacy itch, but my test devices and my own inbox can only cover so many newsletter links, affiliate redirects and weird messenger forwards. Real coverage needs real users on real links. So I am opening the floor.

Every report helps me sharpen the parameter list, fix sites where the extension breaks legitimate URLs, and prioritize features that people actually want. No marketing back-and-forth, no signup walls. Just install, use, file an issue if something is off.

How to claim a code

The 500 codes are hosted via gutscheinhub.de, which already has a working single-use code claim flow with anti-abuse protection. Click the card on that page, solve a quick Cloudflare challenge, and a code is yours.

The page shows the live remaining count, so you can see how fast the pool is going. One code per person.

What I want from you

Open an issue at github.com/aloth/trackless-links/issues when you spot:

  • A link that still has tracking parameters after the extension runs (paste the URL).
  • A link that broke after Trackless Links cleaned it (paste before and after).
  • A site where the extension errors out or feels slow.
  • A feature you would actually use (keep it small and focused, no AI assistants).
  • A typo or unclear text anywhere in the app.

Less helpful: “doesn’t work” with no URL and no detail. I cannot reproduce that. Also off the table: turning the app into an ad blocker, password manager or full browser. There are great apps for those, this one stays small.

How the codes work

Each code unlocks Trackless Links on the App Store for one Apple ID. Single-use, with an Apple-set expiration (usually 4 weeks). Redeem under App Store > your profile picture > Redeem Gift Card or Code. If you claim a code that turns out to be expired, ping me and I’ll swap it.

TL;DR

Thanks for helping a small indie privacy tool get sharper.
